The Newest African Imports
There have been several importations of dogs from Africa since the last registered foundation stock basenjis were accepted by the American Kennel Club in 1990. In the interest of clarity and openness, this page has been put together so you can see photos and read a bit about these newest imports. The information and photos shown here are what is available now. As applications are made for each dog the required photos and other information such as health testing will be posted.
This page has been put together by the BCOA's Native Stock Committee. It is not known which of the dogs imported will become registered foundation stock. It is not known at this time which of the dogs will actually have applications for registration made. Several of the dogs went to Europe. These are welcome here as well.
